My first Tatcha purchase was for their “Polished,” a rice enzyme powder that brightened my complexion as no other supposedly deep cleanser ever has. Hence, I was convinced of the efficacy of Tatcha’s products and couldn’t wait to try Indigo Soothing Silk Body Butter.
Indigo Body Butter as Tatcha’s other products comes housed in an attractive jar holding a generous 6.7 ounces of soothing, smoothing pleasure. A little of it goes a very long way to lubricate and hydrate skin. There is a slight blue hue to the cream that immediately disappears on skin. And the good feeling of softness remains throughout the day or night.
As the story goes Indigo has long been appreciated for its powers of restoration. During the Edo Period Japan’s samurai wore a layer of Indigo-dyed cotton beneath their armor to help heal injuries.
